Retrofit Mirror Cover - AZ88.70-P-0100LWG

CLEAN Clean     
1 Clean outside mirror housing (2) Cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1025-04A 
INSTALLING Install     
2 Remove extending ends of protective foils (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) approx. 10 mm from adhesive surfaces and press on lightly    
3 Fold over ends of protection foils (3, 4, 5, 6, 7 8, 9) at an angle of 45°    
4 Fasten protective foils (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) on outer side of mirror cover (1) with adhesive tape IMPORTANT Ensure that the ends of the protective foils (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) do not extend to the inside of the mirror cover (1) when installing.  
5 Position mirror cover (1) o outside mirror housing (2) IMPORTANT The mirror cover (1) should make exact contact with or surround the contours of the outside mirror housing (2) particularly at the edges and offsets (arrows A).  
6 Press mirror cover (1) down on outside mirror housing (2) on side pointing toward vehicle (arrow B) IMPORTANT Constantly maintain pressure during operation steps 7 and 8.  
7 Detach adhesive tape and remove protective foil (3) NOTES
While removing protective foil (3), continuously check whether mirror cover (1) makes correct contact.
It is no longer possible to reposition after bonding.
IMPORTANT Observe removal direction of protective foil (3).
 
8 Press on mirror cover (1) in area of adhesive strips    
9 Detach adhesive strips and remove protective foils (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) in ascending numerical order NOTES
While removing the protective foils (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) continuously check whether mirror cover (1) makes correct contact particularly with edges and offsets (arrows A).
It is no longer possible to reposition after bonding.
IMPORTANT Observe removal direction of protective foils (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
 
10 Press mirror cover (1) in direction of inner edges starting at side closest to vehicle (arrow B) NOTES
When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on mirror cover (1).
Otherwise there may be adhesion problems.
 
11 Remove adhesive residues on adhesive tapes from mirror cover (1) NOTES
Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. frost, rain, fog, carwash) or any mechanical stress during first 24 hours.
Otherwise the adhesive force starts to decrease.
NOTES Do not polish mirror cover (1).
Otherwise the surface can be damaged.
IMPORTANT The maximum adhesive force is reached after approx. 72 hours at 20°C.

12 Attach note mirror cover according to AZ88.70-P-0100LWG retrofitted under field organization text to KG 72
