The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and can be accomplished analogously on the left and right side of the vehicle.
- Clean front bumper in crosshatched area (D).
- Remove rear protective foils (1) from carriers (L1, L2, R1, and R2).
The packaging and carriers (L1, L2, R1, and R2) are marked:
L1 = top left
L2 = bottom left
R1 = top right
R2 = bottom right
- Align top carrier (L1) with front bumper.
The top carrier (L1) shall be aligned such that two complete honeycombs (A) can be seen from above.
- Align bottom carrier (L2) with front bumper.
The bottom carrier (L2) shall be aligned such that two complete honeycombs (A) can be seen from below.
- Attach the affixed carriers (L1 and L2) with the self tapping screws included in the delivery.
Do not use a cordless screwdriver; tighten by hand using a suitable tool.
- Press on carriers (L1 and L2) firmly in bonding area.
- Remove protective foils (2) from carriers (L1 and L2).
- Position trim elements (L1.1 and L2.1) on carriers (L1 and L2).
The centering aids (4) shall match the guides (5).
- Insert trim elements (L1.1 and L2.1) into carriers (L1 and L2) at a slanted angle from above in direction of arrow (C) and press on firmly.
Check whether trim elements (L1.1 and L2.1) are seated tightly.
