IMPORTANT Helper required to assemble rear spoiler (1).

  1. Position rear spoiler (1) on liftgate (2) and mark position with adhesive tapes (3).

IMPORTANT Ensure that the distance between the roof spoiler (1) and the outer sides of the liftgate is uniform. A marking (1.1) is present in the center lower area of the spoiler (1) as additional orientation aid. It should be in the correct installation position flush with the upper tip of the Mercedes star.

  2. Cut adhesive tapes (3) in gap between rear spoiler (1) and liftgate (2) with suitable tool.

NOTES When cutting adhesive tapes (3), ensure that the surfaces on the rear spoiler (1) and liftgate (2) are not damaged.

Otherwise this could lead to visual impairment of the component surfaces or corrosion on the liftgate (2).

  3. Remove rear spoiler (1) again and clean liftgate (2) in bonding area.

IMPORTANT The area of the liftgate (2) to be bonded must be free of dust and grease.
