Converting Rear Bumper - AZ88.00-P-0001-03LWI

Model 253.3 

Check components removed from standard bumper before assembly and replace if damaged.

1. Insert lower rear bumper paneling (2) into upper rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

   Carefully lay down painted vehicle parts. In order to prevent damage.

2. Insert center rear bumper basic carrier (3) into upper rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

3. Insert rear switching module bumper bracket (20) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

4. Insert right center bumper bracket (4) into bottom rear bumper paneling (2) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

5. Insert left center bumper bracket (5) into bottom rear bumper paneling (2) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

6. Insert right bumper bracket (6) into bottom rear bumper paneling (2) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

7. Insert left bumper bracket (7) into bottom rear bumper paneling (2) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

8. Fasten right bumper bracket (6) and left bumper bracket (7) to upper rear bumper paneling (1) with 1 blind rivet each.

   Use commercially available riveter.

9. Insert right exhaust pipe bracket (8) and arrest.

   Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

10. Fasten right exhaust pipe bracket (8) to right bumper bracket (6) with 1 blind rivet each, to right center bumper bracket (4) and bottom rear bumper paneling (2).

    Use commercially available riveter.

11. Inset left exhaust tip bracket (9) and arrest.

    Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

12. Fasten left exhaust pipe bracket (9) to left bumper bracket (7) with 1 blind rivet each, to left center bumper bracket (5) and bottom rear bumper paneling (2).

    Use commercially available riveter.

13. Insert right wheel arch bumper bracket (10) and arrest.

    Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

14. Fasten right lower rear bumper bracket (10) to lower rear bumper paneling (2) with 1 expansion rivet and 1 spring clip.
15. Insert left wheel arch bumper bracket (11) and arrest.

    Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

16. Fasten left lower rear bumper bracket (11) to lower rear bumper paneling (2) with 1 expansion rivet and 1 spring clip.
17. Insert right exhaust pipe bracket (12) and screw.

    Ensure correct seating.

18. Insert left exhaust pipe bracket (13) and screw.

    Ensure correct seating.

19. Model 253.3 with code 235 (Parking Pilot with PARKTRONIC)

    Insert parking system distance sensors (B8/7 to B8/12) into corresponding brackets and arrest.

    Installation position is predefined by line lengths.

20. Model 253.3 with code 238 (Active lane keeping Assist)

    with code 253 (Rear impact warning and protection system) Insert center rear bumper radar sensor (B92/1) into bracket.

    Installation position is predefined by line lengths.

21. Model 253.3 with code 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)

    with code 237 (Active Blind Spot Assist)

    Install right outer rear bumper integrated radar sensor (B92/6) and right outer rear bumper radar sensor (B92/7).

    Installation position is predefined by line lengths.

22. Model 253.3 with code 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)

    with code 237 (Active Blind Spot Assist)

    Install left outer rear bumper radar sensor (B92/10) and left outer rear bumper integrated radar sensor (B92/11).

23. 23 insert impact absorber (14) and arrest.

    Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

24. Hook check strap on towing eye cover (17) into bottom rear bumper paneling (2).
25. Insert towing eye cover (17) into lower rear bumper paneling (2) and arrest.
26. Insert left reflector (15) and right reflector (16) into upper rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.
27. Insert trim strip (18) and arrest.

    Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

28. Insert license plate illumination (19) and connect.
