Converting Front Bumper - AZ88.00-P-0001-02LWG

Model 253.3/9 

IMPORTANT Check components removed from standard bumper before assembly and replace if damaged.

  1. Hook check strap on towing eye cover (2) into front bumper paneling (1).
  2. Insert towing eye cover (2) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    NOTES Carefully lay down painted vehicle parts. In order to prevent damage.

  3. Insert center basic carrier (3) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  4. Insert left basic carrier (4) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  5. Insert left basic carrier (5) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  6. Fasten center basic carrier (3) at top to front bumper paneling (1) with 2 blind rivets.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  7. Fasten left basic carrier (4) at top to front bumper paneling (1) with 1 blind rivets.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  8. Fasten right basic carrier (5) at top to front bumper paneling (1) with 1 blind rivets.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  9. Insert center front bumper cover (6) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  10. Fasten center front bumper cover (6) to front bumper paneling (1) at top inner left and top inner right with 2 expansion rivets.

  11. Insert left bottom bumper cover (7) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  12. Insert right bottom bumper cover (8) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  13. Insert left bottom bumper paneling (9) and arrest with bumper paneling (1) and center front bumper paneling (6).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  14. Fasten left lower bumper paneling (9) to center front bumper cover (6) with 1 blind rivet.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  15. Insert right bottom bumper paneling (10) and arrest with bumper paneling (1) and center front bumper paneling (6).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  16. Fasten right lower bumper paneling (10) to center front bumper cover (6) with 1 blind rivet.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  17. Insert center bottom bumper basic carrier (11) and arrest with center front bumper cover (6).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  18. Fasten center bottom bumper basic carrier (11) to left bottom bumper paneling (9) and right bottom bumper paneling (10) with 1 expansion rivet each.

  19. Insert left bottom wheel arch bumper paneling (12) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  20. Fasten left bottom wheel arch bumper paneling (12) to left basic carrier (4) with 1 expansion rivet.
  21. Insert bottom right wheel arch bumper paneling (13) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  22. Fasten right bottom wheel arch bumper paneling (13) to right basic carrier (5) with 1 expansion rivet.

  23. Insert left air duct segment (14) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  24. Fasten left air duct segment (14) to center bottom bumper basic carrier (11) with 1 blind rivet.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  25. Insert right air duct segment (15) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  26. Fasten right air duct segment (15) to center bottom bumper basic carrier (11) with 1 blind rivet.

    IMPORTANT Use commercially available riveter.

  27. Fasten center front bumper cover (6) to front bumper paneling (1) at top outer left and top outer right with 2 expansion rivets.

  28. Insert protective grille (17) into radiator paneling frame (16) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  29. Insert trim strips (18) into protective grille (17) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  30. Insert Mercedes star carrier (19) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  31. Clip Mercedes star (20) into Mercedes star carrier (19).

  32. Insert complete radiator paneling (21) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  33. Insert left air duct louver (22) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  34. Insert right air duct louver (23) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  35. Model 253.3/9 with code 235 (Parking Pilot with PARKTRONIC) Insert parking system distance sensors (B8/1 to B8/6) into corresponding brackets and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Installation position is predefined by line lengths.

  36. Model 253.3/9 with code 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)

    with code 237 (Active Blind Spot Assist)

    Insert left front bumper radar sensor (B92/3) and right front bumper radar sensor (B92/4) into corresponding brackets and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Installation position is predefined by line lengths.

  37. Insert impact absorber (24) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  38. Model 253.3/9 with code U60 (Active Bonnet (Pedestrian protection)) Install hose with left front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and right front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3) in impact absorber (24).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the hose is positioned and aligned correctly on left and right.

  39. Model 253.3/9 with code U60 (Active Bonnet (Pedestrian protection)) Fasten left front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and right front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3) to front bumper paneling (1) with 2 expansion rivets each.

  40. Insert trim pieces (25) into center front bumper cover (6), left bottom bumper cover (9) and right bottom bumper cover (10) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that it is seated and arrest properly.

  41. Install license plate holder (26) according to national version.
