Remove/Install Expansion Valve - AR83.30-P-5520LW

DANGER Risk of fire  due to ignition of R1234yf refrigerant on hot components. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with escaped R1234y refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts. Risk of explosion  due to formation of ignitable refrigerant/air mixtures Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated. 1 Discharge air conditioning system. Model 205

2 Remove windshield wiper system.   AR82.30-P-6400LW
3 Unbolt nut (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 205

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 213 except code 1U6 (R744 refrigerant) Nut, refrigerant line to expansion valve *BA83.30-P-1003-01R 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 293Nut, refrigerant line to expansion valve *BA83.30-P-1003-01V 
4 Detach low-pressure line (3) and high-pressure line (4) from expansion valve (1) and seal openings. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new sealing rings.
SPECIAL TOOL Record plug		 Fig 3
5 Unscrew screws (5), remove expansion valve (1) and seal openings. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT If the thread of screws/bolts (5) does not engage, remove threaded plate using SPECIAL TOOL extraction hook, hold in position and screw in screws/bolts (5) alternately.
