The following tools are included in the commercially available window removal tool case.
Course of cutting wire and position illustration of suction cup winches
- Cut cutting wire off of roll.
The length of the cutting wire must correspond to approximately four times the window diagonals.
- Insert pipe probe from outside through adhesive bead.
- Slide cutting wire from outside into pipe probe and remove pipe probe.
- Moisten seal on window with soapy water.
Window with additional seal.
- Slide cutting wire below window seal.
Window with additional seal.
- Position cutting wire outside in gap between window and flange.
- Punch pipe probe from inside through adhesive bead.
- Slide remaining cutting wire from outside into pipe probe and remove pipe probe.
- Secure window with adhesive tape on body.
Fasten window with adhesive tape to prevent slipping.
Otherwise the paintwork and the body can be damaged when the window loosens abruptly.
- Fasten suction cup winches on inside of window and wind up cutting wire in direction of arrow.
The position of the cutting wire must be monitored constantly on the inside and outside while cutting out the window.
Otherwise the components around and the window can be damaged.
- Reposition suction cup winches according to picture, when cutting point has reached the area of the circle marking (arrows).
- Remove suction cup winches after the end position is reached and fasten on window outside.
- Remove window from flange.
