Guidelines For Removing Fuel Tank When Performing Welding Work On Bodies - Ah60.00-P-3000-01Z

Model all (CAR, Light transporter) 

When repairing or partially replacing the listed parts scopes, the removal of the fuel tank is to be determined by a manager on a case-by-case basis, depending on the type and size of damage involved.

NOTES On vehicles with an evaporative emission control system,

if welding work is performed in the area of the feed line of the vent line or the activated charcoal canister, the system must be covered with a welding protection blanket or the system must be removed.

Removal of fuel tank when replacing: 

Seal airtight using SPECIAL TOOL (set of covers) and mount heat shield.

As soon as the damage becomes more extensive and when welding work is required on the wheel well or on the rear pillar, the fuel tank must also be removed for these diesel models.
