Location
The augmented reality camera is installed on the top windshield in front of the inside rearview mirror.
Tasks
The augmented reality camera records the surroundings in front of the vehicle and forwards the video images to the head unit (A26/17). As a result, the augmented reality camera fulfills the following tasks in detail:
- Reception of control signals via the user interface CAN (CAN HMI) from the head unit
- Image recording
- Sending video images via a HSVL line (high speed video link) to the head unit
