- Cut off contact springs (31 and 32) of vehicle wiring harness.
- Tie back brown line of vehicle wiring harness and insulate.
- Tie back red line of vehicle wiring harness and insulate.
- Detach brown line of vehicle wiring harness from left front ground point (W2/2).
- Cut line lug off brown line of vehicle wiring harness.
- Tie back brown line of vehicle wiring harness and insulate.
- Route brown line (BN) of fan motor wiring harness (33) to left front ground point (W2/2) and connect
.
- Install contact spring (33.2) of brown line of fan motor wiring harness (33) in black 4-pin coupling housing (30.1).
Ensure that seal is correctly seated.
Otherwise water could enter which could then cause a short circuit or corrosion.
The contact cavity assignment was marked previously.
- Install contact spring (33.1) of red line of fan motor wiring harness (33) in black 4-pin coupling housing (30.1).
Ensure that seal is correctly seated.
Otherwise water could enter which could then cause a short circuit or corrosion.
The contact cavity assignment was marked previously.
- Route red line (RD) of fan motor wiring harness (33) along existing lines to engine compartment prefuse box (F32/3).
Make sure that movement of the wiper arms is unobstructed.
Otherwise the red line (RD) can be sheared off, thereby causing a short circuit.
- Detach red line of vehicle wiring harness from contact cavity 3 (arrow) of engine compartment prefuse box (F32/3).
- Cut line lug off red line of vehicle wiring harness.
- Tie back red line of vehicle wiring harness and insulate.
- Attach red line (RD) of fan motor wiring harness to contact cavity 3
(arrow) of engine compartment prefuse box (F32/3)
