Electronic inclination/propeller shaft articulation angle meter 

1. Press the STEP button.

   Articulation angle measurement is selected.

2. Press STEP button while main menu is displayed.

   Measurement is selected.

   Perform measurement of all angles without interruption. An angle that has already been measured can be measured a second time if required. To do so, with the Measurement menu displayed, press the STEP button repeatedly until the display indicates Ready to measure the relevant angle.

3. 1. 3.1) Model 205 with transmission 722.9, 724.2

      Model 253 with transmission 724.2

      Clean mounting hole and its surrounding area in electrical auxiliary oil pump (M42).

   2. 3.2) Model 205, 213, 238, 253 with transmission 716.7, 725.0

      Clean mounting hole and its surrounding area on underside of transmission.

4. Select suitable measuring sleeve mount (020e) for mounting hole.
5. Insert measuring sleeve mount (020e) into mounting hole.
6. Turn threaded pin (020f) to left and tighten.

7. 1. 7.1) Model 205 with transmission 722.9, 724.2

      Model 253 with transmission 724.2

      Screw measuring sleeve (020g) onto measuring sleeve mount (020e) and tighten finger-tight all the way up to the electrical auxiliary oil pump (M42).

      The entire contact surface of the measuring sleeve (020g) must lie flat against the electric auxiliary oil pump (M42).

   2. 7.2) Model 205, 213, 238, 253 with transmission 716.7, 725.0

      Screw measuring sleeve (020g) onto measuring sleeve mount (020e) and tighten finger-tight all the way up to the transmission lower side.

      The entire contact surface of the measuring sleeve (020g) must lie flat against the underside of transmission.

8. Attach sensor holder (020c) with both screws centrally on sensor (020a).

9. Fit sensor (020a) with the magnetic sensor mount (020c) by turning slightly at the measuring sleeve (020g).

   When each measurement is taken, the side of the sensor (020a) at which the spiral cable (020b) is connected must point in the direction of travel.

   Measurement errors occur otherwise.

   The device is ready to take a measurement and the measured values are shown in the display.

10. Press SAVE button.

    The values are saved.

    A confirmation message appears briefly.

    The display then indicates that the device is ready for the next measurement (angle 2).

11. Remove sensor (020a) from measuring sleeve (020g).
12. Remove sensor holder (020c) from sensor (020a).
13. Unscrew measuring sleeve (020g) from measuring sleeve mount (020e).

14. Release threaded pin (020f) and remove measuring sleeve mount (020e) from mounting hole.
