Removing Rear Section Of Roof Paneling - Ar65.10-P-5760-01CLW

Model 205.3 

with code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof) 

  1. Insert spacer blocks at undamaged side between roof paneling rear section (1) and side roof paneling and adjust dimension.

    IMPORTANT When installing roof paneling rear section (1) can be fitted with adjusted spacer blocks.

  2. Mark positions on vehicle and write down dimensions of spacer blocks.
  3. Determine dimensions from outer edge or roof paneling rear section (1) to side roof paneling outer section.
  4. Mark positions of measuring points on vehicle and note dimensions.
  5. Expose spot welds on roof paneling rear section (1) and cut out (areas A).
  6. Heat roof paneling rear section (1) in crosshatched areas down to bare metal and remove.

    NOTES Do not exceed a temperature of 120 °C.

    Otherwise the structure of the adhesive areas below can change.

  7. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  8. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas C).

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
