| 1 | Perform initial startup of left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9) | When replacing the left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9). | |
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | AD00.00-P-2000-04B | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key | ||
| 3 | Turn left or right front wheel inwards | ||
| 4 | Detach front section of fender liner (1) until left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9) is accessible | AR88.10-P-1300LW | |
| 5 | Remove screw/bolt (4) and place bracket (5) to one side | When removing right headlamp control unit (E2n9). | |
| 6 | Remove screws/bolts (2) at left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9) | ||
| 7 | Pull out left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9) until electrical connectors (3) can be separated | ||
| 8 | Disconnect electrical connectors (3) and remove left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9) | ||
| 9 | Install in the reverse order |
