Remove/install sensors for Blind Spot Assist - AR54.71-P-0100NKB

MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition    
2 Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000AK
3 Loosen rear part of the fender liner in the rear wheel arch (at shielding above rear muffler and rear bumper) and press to one side MODEL 117
with CODE 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)
 
4 Loosen retaining clip of the fender liner in the rear wheel arch in the lower area at the rear bumper MODEL 156
with CODE 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)
 
5 Remove cover under rear axle MODEL 242 with ENGINE 780
with CODE 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)

6 Unlock left rear intelligent bumper radar sensor (B29/4) or right rear intelligent bumper radar sensor (B29/5) from the bracket (1) (arrow) and remove IMPORTANT Model 156
Press fender liner in rear wheel arch to one side in order to guarantee access to the left rear bumper radar sensor (B29/4) or right rear bumper intelligent radar sensor (B29/5).
 
7 Disconnect electrical connector at left rear bumper intelligent radar sensor (B29/4) or at right rear bumper intelligent radar sensor (B29/5)    
8 Install in the reverse order
