	Remove/install
1	Connect diagnostic system and perform initial startup of instrument cluster (A1)	When replacing the instrument cluster (A1).
			AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Position steering wheel rearwards and at the bottom
3.1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit	Without CODE 893 (KEYLESS-GO start function)
3.2	Switch off ignition and remove KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit	with CODE 893 (KEYLESS-GO start function)
4	Remove panel (2)	To do so, unclip panel (2) in area of catch hooks (3, 5), (arrows). Remove panel (2) far enough to gain access to the electrical connection (10). Check catch hooks (3, 5) are correctly seated.

5	Disconnect electrical connection (10) and remove panel (2)
6	Remove temperature sensor (11) from panel (2)	When replacing panel (2). The temperature sensor (11) is fixed in place to the panel (2) using a bayonet connection.
7	Remove left air vent on driver side	MODEL 242, 246

8	Pull reset knob (6) out of the instrument cluster (A1)
9	Unscrew bolts (7) until the instrument cluster (A1) is loose	The bolts (7) remain on the instrument cluster (A1).
10	Insert extraction hooks (8) between instrument panel and instrument cluster (A1) on left and right	The left catch hook (9) on MODEL 242 and MODEL 246 is visible through the installation opening for the left air vent on the driver side. The right catch hook (9) is located at the same level.

11	Press catch hook (9) of instrument cluster (A1) inwards and pull instrument cluster (A1) by the catch hook (9)	Only pull out the instrument cluster (A1) until the electrical connection (4) is accessible.

12	Separate electrical connection (4) from instrument cluster (A1) and remove instrument cluster (A1)
13	Install in the reverse order
