Remove/Install Oil Pump From Transmission Housing - AR27.10-P-0400-02MFA

Remove oil pump 

1. Position puller (07) and apply to sensor rotor (2) by turning the screw (08).

   Do not remove retaining ring (3) at oil-pump drive shaft (4).

   The oil pump (55) may otherwise be damaged.

   Make sure that the puller (07) is correctly seated. Otherwise the oil pump (55) or sensor rotor (2) may be damaged.

2. Detach sensor rotor (2) from oil-pump drive shaft (4) by turning the screw (08).

3. Attach plate (01), spindle (02), bracket (03), knurled nuts (06) of extraction and insertion tool to transmission housing (27G) and fix in place.
4. Insert thrust piece (04) from extraction and insertion tool at spindle (02) and attach to oil pump (55).
5. Place thrust piece (04) at oil pump (55) by turning the spindle (02).

   Make sure that the thrust piece (04) is correctly seated.

   Otherwise the oil pump (55) may be damaged.

6. Press oil pump (55) downwards by turning it at the spindle (02).

   Turn far enough until the retaining ring (5) is relaxed and can be removed.

7. Remove retaining ring (5) from transmission housing (27G) using a suitable tool.
8. Turn spindle (02) back and remove thrust piece (04).
9. Insert hitch-hook (05) from extraction and insertion tool at spindle (02) and attach to oil pump (55).
10. Remove oil pump (55) from transmission housing (27G) by turning at spindle (02).
11. Remove hitch-hook (05).

    Install oil pump 

12. Insert oil pump (55) in transmission housing (27G).

    Apply oil to O-rings of oil pump (55).

    The chamfer (arrow) on the oil pump (55) and the cutout on the transmission housing (27G) must point toward each other during assembly.

13. Insert thrust piece (04) at spindle (02).
14. Place thrust piece (04) at oil pump (55) by turning the spindle (02).

    Make sure that the thrust piece (04) is correctly seated.

    Otherwise the oil pump (55) may be damaged.

15. Press oil pump (55) downwards by turning it at the spindle (02).

    Turn far enough until the retaining ring (5) in transmission housing (27G) can be inserted.

16. Install retaining ring (5).
17. Turn spindle (02) back and remove thrust piece (04).
18. Remove extraction and insertion tool from transmission housing (27G).

19. Position spindle (09), bracket (010), sensor rotor support (011) of press-in tool and sensor rotor (2) as shown.
20. Press sensor rotor (2) up to end stop on oil-pump drive shaft (4) by turning the spindle (09).

    Ensure correct installation position of sensor rotor (2).

    The inner sleeve (7) of the sensor rotor (2) must point towards the sensor rotor support (011).

21. Remove press-in tool.
