Model All with transmission 700.4, 724.0/1

Overview

This document contains information on:

General

The fully integrated transmission control electrohydraulic controller unit or the dual-clutch transmission control unit switches to the limp-home mode when individual components malfunction.

Function

The dual-clutch transmission control unit or the fully integrated transmission control electrohydraulic controller unit uses sensors to monitor the status of the transmission control, using e.g. pressure and temperature sensors. If a shifting-relevant component part is defective or if it can no longer be actuated, the corresponding sub-transmission is no longer available. The driver is notified of a malfunction visually and acoustically on the instrument cluster. Shifting comfort is restricted or driving is no longer possible.
