Overview 

This document contains information on:

General 

The engine torque is transferred from the combustion engine crankshaft to the two-mass flywheel.

The two-mass flywheel transfers the engine torque to the engaged clutch K1 (internal shaft) or clutch K2 (hollow shaft) of dual clutch.

Function requirements 

Function 

The dual clutch acts as an interface between the combustion engine and the dual-clutch transmission and allows virtually uninterrupted torque transfer during shift operations.

The drive torques from the clutches are transferred to the internal shaft and hollow shaft positively via ring gear profiles. The drive forces are transferred to power output shafts 1 or 2 (depending on the required gear) via the gearwheel connections.

The force flux of the 1st gear runs over: the internal shaft/drive shaft (1), internal shaft fixed gear (12), idler gear (3rd gear) (6), idler gear (4th gear) (8), hollow shaft fixed gear (13), idler gear (2nd gear) (18) and power output shaft (5th gear/reverse gear/2nd/6th gear) (20).

The following mechanical component parts and regulation valves are actuated or are designated for the force flux in 2nd gear for gearshift or actuation:

The force flux of the 2nd gear runs over: the hollow shaft (2) and power output shaft (5th gear/reverse gear/2nd/6th gear) (20).
