| 6 | Prop up rear axle differential (1) and lash down securely. | ||

| 9 | Pry crossmember (8) off rear axle differential (1). | Attach crossmember (8) to rear axle differential (1) in correct installation position. Otherwise, the fitting sleeves located in the crossmember (8) will be damaged. |

| 10 | Press rear axle shafts (9) out of coupling housings. | Fig 1 | |
| 11 | Lower rear axle differential (1) until the rear axle shafts (9) can be fully pulled out of the coupling housings. | ||
| 12 | Pull rear axle shafts (9) out of coupling housings and secure against falling down. | ||
| 13 | Lower rear axle differential (1) completely. | ||

| 14 | Check radial shaft sealing rings for damage. | If damage is found, ↓ Replace radial shaft sealing rings. |
