Remove/Install Tensioning Rail - AR05.10-P-8127MFG

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing engine oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove the chain tensioner.   AR05.10-P-7800MFG 
2 Remove the timing case cover.   AR01.40-P-8000MFG
3 Slightly lift timing chain (2) and remove tensioning rail (1). IMPORTANT Tensioning rail (1) cannot be removed in a non-destructive manner.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT replace tensioning rail (1).
 
4 Check timing chain (2) for damage. If damage is found:

Replace timing chain (2).

5 Install in the reverse order.
