Remove/Install Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Solenoid - AR05.20-P-7306MFC

WARNING Risk of injury.  Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing engine oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
2 Remove right engine mount.   AR22.10-P-1102MFD
3 Release and disconnect electrical connection (3).    
4 Unscrew screw/bolts (4).    
Notice  Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace screws/bolts (4). AH00.00-P-0020-01A
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, camshaft solenoid to timing case cover *BA15.10-P-1003-03I 
5 Remove exhaust camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/2) and seal opening on engine with suitable means. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new sealing ring on exhaust camshaft adjustment solenoid (Y49/2).  
6 Install in the reverse order.    
  Concluding tasks     
7 Connect vehicle diagnosis system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary.    
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06MFA
8 Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   NOTES Vehicle must be horizontal and standing on its wheels.
Measurement errors occur otherwise.
NOTES Never pour in engine oil to above the maximum value.
Engine damage will occur otherwise.

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
9 Perform engine test run; in this connection, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
