Purpose:
Holding device for holding down the camshaft and fixing it in place in TDC.
NOTE:
The special tool W270 589 00 61 00, holding device, is replaced by a modified version W270 589 01 61 00, holding device. Modifications were carried out to make the functionality of the special tool suitable for the newer engine generations as well. The existing special tool W270 589 00 61 00, holding device, can be updated with separate part W270 589 01 61 15, block.
