Remove/Install Seat Belt On Front Seat - AR91.40-P-1010MFA

CAUTION Risk of injury  . Injury may result when the tension in the spring in the automatic belt retractor is released. Never disassemble automatic belt retractors. AS91.00-Z-0002-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Move front seat all the way forward and upward.    
2 Clamp off ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003MFA
3 Remove B-pillar trim.   AR68.30-P-4705MFA
4 Remove screw from deflection to B-pillar. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, front belt guide bracket *BA91.40-P-1002-01X 
5 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4, 5). IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (3, 4, 5) varies depending on the vehicle equipment involved.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Removal lever Fig 1
6 Remove screw (6). Model 118, 177, 243, 247
with code 299 (PRE-SAFE®)		  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, front seat belt retractor *BA91.40-P-1001-01X 
7 Remove screw (7). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, front seat belt retractor *BA91.40-P-1001-01X 
8 Remove left front reversible belt tensioner (A76) or right front reversible belt tensioner (A76/1). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Make sure that the catch hooks (8) engage correctly.  
9 Install in the reverse order.    
  Finishing activity     
10 Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary.
