- Remove stop plug (7).
The stop plug (7) is no longer required.
- Remove adhesive residue from seals in cross-hatched areas.
- Remove stop plugs (7.1, 7.2).
The stop plugs (7.1, 7.2) are no longer required.
- Insert longitudinal member reinforcement (3) into right longitudinal frame member.
- Insert longitudinal member reinforcement (2) into left longitudinal frame member.
- Tighten nuts (15) slightly by hand.
- Tighten screws (5) lightly by hand.
- Position crossmember (1) on longitudinal member reinforcements (2, 3) and screw in bolts (13) finger-tight.
Helper required.
- Align crossmember (1) and longitudinal member reinforcements (2, 3).
The tightening sequence described below must be strictly observed.
- Tighten nuts (15) to specified torque.
- Tighten screws (5) to torque.
- Tighten screws/bolts (13) to specified torque.
- Attach black 8-pin plug (6.1) and black 4-pin plug (6.3) to crossmember (1).
