Remove/Install Low Temperature Circuit Cooler - AR09.41-P-6936MFG

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove air intake pipe upstream of the air filter housing.   AR09.10-P-1150MFG 
2 Drain off Low Temperature circuit coolant.   AR09.41-P-6834MFG 
3 Discharge air conditioning system.   AR83.30-P-1760MFA
4 Remove front left lamp unit.   AR82.10-P-4733MFA
5 Remove air ducts (9).    
6 Remove screws (4) and remove holder (6). TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6x1 *BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
7 Remove screws (7) and remove holder (8). TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6x1 *BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
8 Unclip electrical wiring harness (16) from crossmember (2). SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool Fig 4
9 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (15).    
10 Unscrew screw (14). TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6x1 *BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
11 Remove screws (3) and remove crossmember (2). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace screw/bolts (3).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, impact absorber/absorber to crossmember *BA62.30-P-1001-02O 
12 Remove air duct segment (5).    
13 Remove air duct segment (13) forward.    
14 Remove nut (17), disconnect refrigerant line (18) and seal exposed openings with suitable stop plugs.    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.1) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install new seal and wet with compressor oil. BB00.40-P-0362-01A
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/nut, refrigerant line to refrigerant line *BA83.30-P-1012-01T 
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 5
    SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 2
15 Unscrew screws (19) and remove refrigerant line (18) from radiator Low Temperature circuit (1). TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6x1 *BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
16 Remove coolant hoses (10) and seal openings with protective covers.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
    SPECIAL TOOL Set of protective covers Fig 3
17 Remove bleed line (11) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs. SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 5
18 Open brackets (12) and remove Low Temperature circuit cooler (1) upward.    
INSPECT Check     
19 Check Low Temperature circuit cooler (1) for damage. If there are problems:

replace Low Temperature circuit cooler (1).
 
20 Install in the reverse order.    
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
21 Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
