Measurement of angle 4 on rear axle differential (3)
An angle that has already been measured can be measured a second time if required. To do so, with the Measurement menu displayed, press the "STEP" button repeatedly until the display indicates Ready to measure the relevant angle.
- Mount sensor holder (020c) centrally onto sensor (020a).
- Clean dirt as well as paint and sealant residue from contact surfaces of adapter (020h) on housing of rear axle differential (3).
Remove any unevenness on surface of material using a suitable tool.
- Fit sensor (020a) with magnetic sensor mount (020c) onto magnetic adapter (020h) by turning slightly.
When each measurement is taken, the side of the sensor (020a) at which the spiral cable (020b) is connected must point in the direction of travel.
False measurements can occur otherwise.
- Place and hold measuring instrument with magnetic adapter (020h) and sensor (020a) on the housing of rear axle differential (3).
Aid of helper required.
- Align strut fitted with spirit level (020i) so that it is horizontal, and tighten screws/bolts (020k).
Aid of helper required.

Example illustration
The meter is ready to take a measurement. The value measured is shown on the display.
- Press "SAVE" button.
The device saves the values.
Measurement value display message angle piece 4: Display, e.g. 2.668°
A confirmation message appears briefly and then the meter indicates that it is ready to measure the next angle. The measurement is completed and stored in memory.
Display message confirmation
- Remove measuring instrument with magnetic adapter (020h) and sensor (020a).
- Protect contact surfaces of adapter (020h) on housing of rear axle differential (3) against corrosion.
