Measurement of angle 2 on front half of propeller shaft (1)

IMPORTANT Perform measurement of all angles without interruption. An angle that has already been measured can be measured a second time if required. To do so, with the Measurement menu displayed, press the "STEP" button repeatedly until the display indicates Ready to measure the relevant angle.

  1. Clean contact surface of sensor (020a) at front half of propeller shaft (1).
  2. Position sensor (020a) vertically from below on front half of propeller shaft (1) and press on firmly.

NOTES When each measurement is taken, the side of the sensor (020a) at which the spiral cable (020b) is connected must point in the direction of travel. False measurements can occur otherwise.

IMPORTANT The four contact cones of the sensor (020a) must lie against the front half of the propeller shaft (1).

If the sensor (020a) is not positioned vertically from below, the fault message "Y-positional error - sensor??" appears. The measured angle cannot be saved.

Measurement of angle 3 on rear half of propeller shaft (2)

  6. Clean contact surface of sensor (020a) at rear half of propeller shaft (2).
  7. Position sensor (020a) vertically from below on rear half of propeller shaft (2) and press on firmly.

NOTES When each measurement is taken, the side of the sensor (020a) at which the spiral cable (020b) is connected must point in the direction of travel. False measurements can occur otherwise.

IMPORTANT The four contact cones of the sensor (020a) must lie against the rear half of the propeller shaft (2).

If the sensor (020a) is not positioned vertically from below, the fault message "Y-positional error - sensor??" appears. The measured angle cannot be saved.
