IMPORTANT Appropriate adjusting nuts (a, b, c) are available for articulation angle correction at the rear axle differential (2). One adjusting nut (a, b, c) here corresponds to a change in articulation angle of approx. ±0.23°. The dimension of the change is indicated by the numbers ("0", "1", "2") on the adjusting nuts (a, b, c). The list below shows how the determined articulation angle changes if the basic setting (adjusting nut (b) with number "1") is replaced by an adjusting nut (a) with number "0" or by an adjusting nut (c) with number "2".

Effect of adjusting nuts (a, b, c) on articulation angle (initial measurement with adjusting nut (b) with number "1" (basic setting))

Adjusting nut (a) with number "0" → determined articulation angle decreases by approx. -0.23°.

Adjusting nut (c) with number "2" → determined articulation angle increases by approx. +0.23°.

Correct articulation angle ∠3

  1. Support rear axle differential (2).
  2. Unscrew bolt (1) and remove adjusting nut (b).
  3. Insert appropriate adjusting nut (a, b or c) for required correction. HELD TESTER
  4. Feed through new bolt (1) from rear to front and tighten TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
