General
The alarm siren (1) is a device for an acoustic alarm or warning. Depending on the vehicle model, the alarm siren (1) is located in the left front wheel arch or in the right front wheel arch.
Function
The alarm siren (1) has, among other things, the following tasks:
- Acoustic alarm output of the anti-theft alarm system.
- Autonomous alarm output in the event of loss of supply voltage or communication with the vehicle.
The alarm siren (1) is connected with the anti-theft alarm system control unit and contains, among other things, the following:
- Internal power supply for securing the alarm output in the event of loss of power supply on the vehicle side.
- Piezo element for acoustic alarm output.
