Check preload of the rear door side window (1) at the seal (2), shown on model 118.3
- Move rear door to the first lock catch.
- Check for contact of window edge of the rear door side window (1) with seal (2).
Window edge of rear door side window (1) must just be in contact with seal in upper area (arrow) (2).
If there is a problem,

adjust rear door side window once again (1).
Adjust preload of the rear door side window (1) at the seal (2), shown on model 118.3
- Open rear door.
- Loosen nuts (3) using the
socket wrench and the
socket wrench socket and adjust the preload of the rear door side window (1) by turning the setting screws (4).
Turn setting screws (4) only until the adjustment force increases noticeably. The maximum adjustment is reached as a result. Do not continue turning setting screws (4).
Thread will otherwise be damaged.
Do not unscrew nuts (3) from the adjustment screws (4).
Otherwise. the adjustment screws (4) could be pressed behind the door module and could then no longer be reached.
Turning the setting screws (4) counterclockwise increases ("+") the preload of the rear door side window (1).
Turning the setting screws (4) clockwise reduces ("-") preload of the rear door side window (1).
- Move rear door to the first lock catch.
- Check for contact of the window edge of the rear door side window (1) with seal (2).
If there is a problem,

adjust rear door side window once again (1).
- Open rear door.
- Tighten nuts (3) using the
socket wrench and the
socket wrench socket.
When tightening nuts (3), the setting screws (4) must not turn. If they do, the adjustment must be repeated.
