Adjust Pretension At Front Side Window - AR67.30-P-0100-02MFC

Check preload of front side window (1) at seal (2) 

  1. Move front door to first lock catch.
  2. Check contact of the window edge of the front side window (1) with the seal (2).

    IMPORTANT

    Window edge of front side window (1) must just come in contact with seal in upper area (arrow) (2).

    If there is a problem,

    adjust front side window (1) to the seal (2).

    Adjust preload of front side window (1) at seal (2) 

  3. Open front door.
  4. Loosen nuts (3) using the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench and the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench socket and adjust the preload of the front side window (1) by turning the setting screws (4).

    NOTES Turn setting screws (4) only until the adjustment force increases noticeably. Max. adjustment range is thus achieved. Do not continue turning setting screws (4).

    Thread will otherwise be damaged.

    IMPORTANT

    Do not unscrew the nuts (3) from the adjustment screws (4).

    Otherwise. the adjustment screws (4) could be pressed behind the door module and could then no longer be reached.

    IMPORTANT

    Turning the setting screws (4) counterclockwise increases ("+") the preload of the front side window (1).

    Turning the setting screws (4) clockwise reduces ("-") preload of the front side window (1).

  5. Move front door to first lock catch.
  6. Check for contact of the window edge of the front side window (1) with the seal (2).

    If there is a problem,

    Adjust once again front side window (1).

  7. Open front door.
  8. Tighten nuts (3) using the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench and the SPECIAL TOOL socket wrench socket.

    IMPORTANT

    When tightening nuts (3), the setting screws (4) must not turn. If they do, the adjustment must be repeated.
