When removing the remaining glue, films, trim strips, etc. using rubber disks, the following points must be remembered:
- Use safety glasses and hearing protection.
- Use surface conditioning disk with an electric or pneumatic drill.
- Recommended rotational speed of 2000 to 2500 rpm to prevent any smearing of adhesive residue or films.
- Apply only light pressure to the repair surface using the surface conditioning disk and do not work on one area for too long. Otherwise, excessive heat development can damage the sheet metal or paint.
- The rotation direction of the surface conditioning disk must be opposite to the working direction.
- When using on water-based coatings, perform preliminary tests at inconspicuous points. Discoloration of the paint may occur in isolated cases.
- Do not use surface conditioning disks on plastics or painted plastic parts, e.g. on a bumper.
