IMPORTANT Driver assistance systems are only an aid. They cannot reduce the risk of accident if you do not adjust your driving style, nor can they always detect tiredness or increasing inattention in good time. The driver is responsible for maintaining a safe distance and speed and braking in good time, as well as ensuring good lane discipline and correct vehicle illumination.

IMPORTANT Parking and maneuvering systems are only an aid. They are not a substitute for you paying attention to your surroundings. The driver is responsible at all times for safe maneuvering, and when entering and exiting a parking space.

Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive

The next generation (5.0) of driving and parking systems is being launched with the new S-Class, model 223. This will optimize existing functions for the established systems of generations 4.0 and 4.5 and add further functions.

Numerous new and advanced driver assistance systems support the driver with vehicle guidance to ensure comfortable and safe driving and to respond to any imminent danger in a manner that is appropriate for the situation.

Driver assistance systems take some of the strain off the driver by means of situation-dependent support for speed adjustment, distance control, steering and lane changes. This is made possible by the use of a variety of sensors. As a result, the driver can stay fresh for longer and reach the destination safely and comfortably.

The parking systems support the driver by means of various cameras (e.g. 360° camera) and sensors during parking as well as maneuvering through tight spaces.

IMPORTANT The following information may vary depending on the vehicle and country and acts as a supplement to the Operator's Manual.
