Route illuminated Mercedes star wiring harness (2) from the installation location of the illuminated Mercedes star (1) to the engine compartment fuse and relay module (F152/3).

Route the illuminated

Mercedes star wiring harness (2) from the installation location of the Mercedes star through the square hole (arrow D) and then along the hood cable.

Ensure that the active brake assist controller unit (A108) and electric controller unit active distance assist DISTRONIC (A108/1) are not covered by retrofitted component parts.

Otherwise, malfunctions of the Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Brake Assist may occur.
Wind extended length of line (1.2) around holder (10).
Connect black 2-pin plug (1.1) and black 2-pin contact socket (2.1) and fix in place on the holder (10) with a cable tie (9).
Fix in place extended length of line (1.2) with cable ties (9) at holder (10).
Fix in place illuminated Mercedes star wiring harness (2) from inside on radiator grille with felt tape in area of line routing.
Install illuminated Mercedes star (1).

Route brown line (br) further along washer fluid line to jumpstart connection point ground point (3) and fix in place with cable ties.
Connect brown line (br) to the jump-start connection point ground point (3) .
Attach felt tape to front module holder (arrow H).
Ensure chafe-free routing of illuminated Mercedes star wiring harness (2).

Damage to illuminated Mercedes star wiring harness (2) and an associated system failure may otherwise occur.
Fix the illuminated Mercedes star wiring harness (2) in place along the hood cable using cable ties.

Route the red line (rt) through the previously made bore in the holder (5) to the engine compartment fuse and relay module (F152/3).
Insert grommet (2.2) of illuminated Mercedes star wiring harness (2) in the previously made bore of the holder (5).

Make sure that grommet (2.2) is seated correctly.

Install the red line (rt) from below into the free contact cavity (arrow A) of the individual fuse holder.
Insert the engine compartment fuse and relay module (F152/3) into the holder (5).

Observe correct seat of grommet (2.2) as well as correct routing of red line (rt).
Insert a fuse with a fuse rating of 5 A into slot (arrow B).
