INSTALLING Install
2 Fold over ends of the protective foils (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) at an angle of 45° so that the bonding surfaces are exposed over a length of approx. 5 mm.
3 Fix protective foils (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) in place on outside of mirror housing cover (1) with adhesive strips. IMPORTANT Ensure that the ends of the protective foils (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) do not extend to the inside of the mirror housing cover (1) when installing.
4 Position mirror housing cover (1) on outside mirror housing (2) and press on lightly. NOTES
Do not use great pressure when pressing on mirror housing cover (1).
Otherwise it is very difficult, if possible at all, to remove the protective foils later on, and the mirror housing cover (1) cannot be repositioned if necessary.
IMPORTANT Ensure that the mirror housing cover (1) is placed precisely on or surrounds the contours of the outside mirror housing (2) (arrow A).

5 Check position of mirror housing cover (1). If the position of the mirror housing cover (1) is not correct,

Loosen and reposition the mirror housing cover (1).

6 Detach adhesive strip and remove protective foil (1.1).
7 Detach adhesive strip and remove protective foil (1.2).
8 Detach adhesive strip and remove protective foil (1.3).
9 Detach adhesive strip and remove protective foil (1.4).
10 Press mirror housing cover (1) in direction of outer edges, starting at side closest to vehicle. NOTES
When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive strips.
The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20°C.
Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, frost, washing facility) or any mechanical stress within the first 24 h.
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
