Retrofit Front Mercedes-Benz Dashcam Mount - AZ54.71-P-0001-00LWE

IMPORTANT

The next steps are shown on model 213 on the right side of the windshield.

Optionally, the front Dashcam can also be installed on the left side of the windshield. The customer should be asked on which side of the windshield the Dashcam should be installed.

  1. Clean surface of front Dashcam mount (8.15) on which the adhesive film (4) is glued.

    IMPORTANT

    Remove yellow protective foil of adhesive film (4) at an angle of 180°.

    Before gluing, observe a flash-off time of 1 min after cleaning.

  2. Glue adhesive film (4) onto front Dashcam mount (8.15) and press on firmly.
  3. Fit front Dashcam (1) onto front Dashcam mount (8.15) and engage.

    Align front Dashcam (1) on windshield at right.

    IMPORTANT

    When doing so, the front Dashcam (1) must make contact with the roof lining (arrows) and be as close as possible to the rain and light sensor cover.

    Max. distance from rain and light sensor cover:

    Dimensions: 

    a = max. 300 mm.

    Align front Dashcam (1) on windshield at right.

    IMPORTANT

    When doing so, the front dashcam (1) must make contact with the roof lining (arrows B) and be located directly on the rain and light sensor cover.

  6. On the outside of the windshield, mark position of outer edge (arrows A) of front Dashcam mount (8.15) with tape.

    IMPORTANT

    Aid of helper required.

  7. Clean windshield on inside in crosshatched area.

  8. Glue covering foil (5) on windshield on inside as per the markings applied from outside.

    IMPORTANT

    Remove protective foil of covering foil (5) at an angle of 180°.

    Before gluing, observe a flash-off time of 1 min after cleaning.

    There must be no gap visible between the screen print on the windshield and the covering foil (5).

  9. Remove air bubbles under covering foil (5) to the side by hand.
  10. Firmly press on covering foil (5).
  11. Clean glued-on covering foil (5).
  12. Remove markings on the outside of the windshield.

  13. Press Eject button (1.6) on front Dashcam (1).
  14. Pull off front Dashcam (1) from front Dashcam mount in direction of arrow on Eject button (1.6).

  15. Pull red protective foil of adhesive film from front Dashcam mount (8.15).

    IMPORTANT

    Pull off red protective foil at an angle of 180°.

  16. Stick front Dashcam mount (8.15) in correct position on covering foil that has already been glued on and press on firmly.

    NOTES When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive point. The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20°C. All kinds of mechanical stress must be avoided during the first hour.

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
