| 2 | Remove air duct segments (3, 5). | ||
| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connector from the front left bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and front right bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3). | Model 118, 177, 247 with code U60 (Pedestrian protection - Active hood) |

| 4 | Remove impact absorber (4). | ||
| 5 | Remove screws (7). | ||
| 6 | Remove lower radiator shutters (1) until electrical connector (9) is accessible. | Do not kink or stretch the electric line. Otherwise the electric line will be damaged. |

| 7 | Release and disconnect electrical connection (9). | ||
| 8 | Remove electric line from lower radiator shutters (1) and place to one side. | Do not kink or stretch the electric line. Otherwise the electric line will be damaged. |
