Remove/Install Electric Coolant Pump For High Temperature Circuit - AR20.10-P-0001MFH

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove the coolant thermostat.   AR20.10-P-2461MFC 
2 Remove screws (1) and remove heat shield (2) upward. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, heat shield to engine carrier/crankcase/oil pan/cylinder head *BA22.10-P-1002-02E 
3 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3) and unclip electric lines from high-temperature circuit coolant pump (M43/10) (arrows). SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool Fig 1
4 Remove coolant hose (4) from coolant hose (5). SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 4

5 Remove coolant hoses (5, 6) from high-temperature circuit coolant pump (M43/10).   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
    SPECIAL TOOL Set of protective covers Fig 3

6 Remove coolant hose (7) from high-temperature circuit coolant pump (M43/10). SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers Fig 2

7 Unscrew screws (8) and remove high-temperature circuit coolant pump (M43/10). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247 with code 9U8 (Control code - Major assembly technical further development) with code B01 (48V technology) Screw, coolant pump to timing case/crankcase/oil pan *BA20.10-P-1001-01AC 
8 Install in the reverse order.
