Ethernet and new communication methods 

New functions, particularly in the area of telematics and driver assistance systems, as well as increasing software scopes, are leading to growing bandwidth requirements at vehicle integration level.

Automotive Ethernet fulfills the requirements for higher bandwidths and thus enables the introduction of modern communication methods due to the transfer of higher data volumes.

This is necessary based on the following conditions:

With Automotive Ethernet, service-oriented high-speed communication methods are making their way into vehicle networking.

This is enabling more efficient function implementation and greater flexibility. Further increases in data volumes and additional vehicle and service functions are possible for the future.
