General
The drive torque delivered by the dual-clutch transmission (1) is delivered variably to the rear axle propeller shaft (8) through the power take-off (4). The drive torque is distributed to the right rear axle drive shaft (10) and the left rear drive shaft (6) from the rear axle propeller shaft (8).

Function
The all-wheel drive in combination with a dual-clutch transmission (1) is essentially composed of the following components:
- Power take-off (4)
- Rear axle differential (5)
- Left rear drive shaft (6)
- Rear axle propeller shaft (8)
- Right rear drive shaft (10)
The all-wheel drive for dual-clutch transmission (1) is a variably controlled all-wheel drive. The mounting of the power take-off (4) directly onto the dual-clutch transmission (1) enables a common oil supply to be used.
The drive torque is distributed to the front axle by the differential, which is integrated into the dual-clutch transmission (1). The power take-off (4), which is mounted to the dual-clutch transmission (1), distributes the drive torque to the left rear drive shaft (6) and the right rear drive shaft (10) through the rear axle propeller shaft (8) and the rear axle differential (5).
A multiplate clutch (9) is installed in the rear axle differential (5) that is actuated by the rear axle differential actuator motor. The drive torque distribution is varied and regulated through variable actuation of the multiplate clutch (9) in the rear axle differential (5). If the multiplate clutch (9) in the rear axle differential (5) is closed, then up to 50% of the drive torque can be forwarded to the rear axle.
