| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Open stowage compartment. | Model 243 | |
| 3 | Open cover (1) on front vehicle interior socket (X58/17). | ||
| 4 | Release vehicle interior socket (X58/17) using pull-off device (2) and pull out far enough until electrical connector is accessible. | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. |

| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector, and remove front vehicle interior socket (X58/17). | ||
| 6 | Install in the reverse order. |
