The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is in the center console.
Task
DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE records the positions of the selector lever using integrated contactless sensors with Hall elements.
Flash programming
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is fishable, i.e. the complete control unit software can be changed (updated). The software required for control unit programming is stored on the diagnosis software DVD.
CAN bus
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is connected to the CAN network of the vehicle via the drive train CAN (CAN C) and exchanges data with other control units.
