The shock absorbers may have to be disposed of. |

Check shock absorbers for signs of external oil leak. |
A thin film of oil on the shock absorber is permissible.

Check elastomer bearings in housing eye. |
The elastomer bearings must be seated securely in the housing eye and must not be cracked or damaged. Damaged elastomer bearings can cause thumping noises if installed.
