	Remove/install
	Risk of fire  /risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U gt= 30 V AC and U gt= 60 V DC.	No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1	Move left front seat all the way forward and fold backrest forward
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO).
3	Remove luggage net (1)
4	Fold up rear wall paneling (2) to gain access to auxiliary battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13)	Secure rear wall paneling (2) against folding down.
5	Unscrew nuts (3, arrow)	Nut, bracket for additional battery	*BA54.10-P-1014-01C
6	Remove brace (4)
7	Remove auxiliary battery cover (5)
8	Remove screw (6) and remove ground line (7) from ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13)	Screw/bolt, battery cable to battery terminal for additional battery	*BA54.10-P-1013-01C
9	Using diode test lamp, check on-board electrical system for voltage between positive line (8) of ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G113) and the disconnected ground line (7)	If the diode test lamp lights up, the onboard electrical system is still active because of a defect in the electrical system. In this case, disconnect the ground line of the on-board electrical system battery. Disconnect/connect battery ground line Cover up positive line (8), there is a risk of a short circuit! The electrical system is to be repaired once the work to be carried out has been completed.	AR54.10-P-0003W
10	Remove screw (9) and remove positive line (8) from ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13)	Screw/bolt, battery cable to battery terminal for additional battery	*BA54.10-P-1013-01C
11	Detach vent hose (10) from ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13)	: Check that the vent hose (10 is routed without kinks.
12	Remove ECO start/stop function auxiliary battery (G1/13) from rear panel
13	Install in the reverse order
