	Preparatory activity
1	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15)	Close the engine hood, the liftgate and all doors.
2	Operate parking brake
3	Switch on standing lights
	Check
4	Check warning lamps (7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20) and indicator lamps (6, 8, 12, 14, 16, 18) for proper operation	If present. If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
5	Manually switch on low beams	The low beams indicator lamp (4) must light up and a lamp failure message must not be displayed in the multifunction display (21). If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
6	Switch on high beam	The high beams indicator lamp (3) must light up and a lamp failure message must not be displayed in the multifunction display (21). If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
7	Switch on rear fog lamp	If present. The rear fog light indicator lamp (5) must light up and a lamp failure message must not be displayed in the multifunction display (21). If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
8	Engage reverse gear and press service brake	There must be no lamp failure message in the multifunction display (21). If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
9	Switch on hazard warning system	The left turn signal light indicator lamp (1) and right turn signal light indicator lamp (2) flash in unison in the multifunction display. There must be no lamp failure message in the multifunction display (21). If complaint present ↓ Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
10	Switch off hazard warning system

11	Reset switch positions to input condition
12	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
