Location
The Audio/COMMAND control panel is located on the center console between the front seats.
Tasks
The Audio/COMMAND control panel is the central control for the telematics functions. The Audio/COMMAND control panel can be used to operate the functions shown on the Audio/COMMAND display (A40/8).
The Audio/COMMAND control panel receives the following signals:
- Power supply of circuit 30g and circuit 31 via a direct line
- Control data from audio equipment via telematics CAN (CAN A) The Audio/COMMAND control panel sends the following signals:
- Control signals via telematics CAN to the components of telematics CAN
Body
The Audio/COMMAND control panel is equipped with the following controls:
- Audio/COMMAND controller, e.g. for navigation within the menu and selection of menu items, for confirming notifications
- "Back" button e.g. to jump back a level within a menu
- "Delete" button, e.g. to delete individual characters or complete entries
Function
The buttons are designed as push/push buttons.
The following individual operations are possible with the Audio/COMMAND controller:
- Press: Down vertically
- Turn: To left or right
- Slide: To four quadrants as well as diagonally
