Separate Rear Fender - Ar63.50-P-1400-02V
The following operation steps are shown on model 171.
- Expose MIG solder seams on rear fender (1) and grind off (area C).
- Grind off bead on wheel arch of rear fender (1) (area B1).
Do not damage wheel well below.
- Remove remaining piece from crimped bead on rear fender (1).
- Expose spot welds on rear fender (1) and cut out (areas A and B).
- Expose spot welds on rear fender (1) and cut out (areas D1
, D2
, F, F1, G, H and I).
Cut out spot welds in area (F1) only on model 171.
Cut out spot welds in area (D1) only on model 172 from outer side of bead.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm holes in rear fender (1) (area E).
- Expose spot welds on rear fender (1) and cut out (area J1
, J2, J3 and K).
Areas (J1, J2, J3) are only present on model 172.
- Scribe separation point on rear fender (1) and cut (area J).
Do not damage rear center section below.
- Heat rear fender (1) in cross-hatched area.
- Remove rear fender (1)
Perform following operation steps 11, 12 and 13 only on model 171.
- Expose spot welds on rear fender section (2) (area L).
Cut out spot welds on rear fender section (2) from inside.
- Cut out spot welds on rear fender section (2) (area M).
Cut spot weld through two sheet metal thicknesses.
- Remove rear fender section (2).
- Sand mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
- Sand mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot welding flanges and rivet connections with zinc dust paint.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
