Install Rear Cross Member, Spare Tire Well And Longitudinal Member Connection Element And Weld In - Ar64.20-P-1200-35V

IMPORTANT The following operation steps are shown on model 171.

  1. Install rear cross member (3), spare tire well (4), longitudinal member connection element (2) with straightening tool (6), fit and fasten with mounting bolts (5).

    IMPORTANT Bead edge (Y) on longitudinal member connection (2) should be aligned parallel to outer edge (X) on spare wheel well (4).

  2. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in spare tire well (4) and longitudinal member connection element (2) (areas G, H, I, J and K).
  3. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in longitudinal member connection element (2) (area Q).
  4. Drill dia. 7 mm hole in longitudinal member connection element (2) (area A 1).
  5. Remove rear cross member (3), spare tire well (4) and longitudinal member connection element (2).
  6. Deburr rivet holes on both sides
  7. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of riveted joints.

  8. Install rear cross member (3), spare wheel well (4), longitudinal member connection (2) with straightening tool, fit and fix in place.
  9. Weld in rear cross member (3) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas L and M).
  10. Rear cross member (3), longitudinal member connection (2) and spare wheel well (4) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas O, Q, T, U and V).

  11. Weld in rear cross member (3) on spare tire well (4) and longitudinal member connection element (2) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas U1 and W).
  12. Clean spot weld flange.
  13. Remove shavings and drill chips.
  14. Apply zinc dust pain to spot weld flange (areas U1 and W).
  15. Rivet longitudinal member connection (2) with Ø 6.5X12.5 rivets (area Q).

  16. Rivet spare wheel well (4) and longitudinal member connection (2) with Ø 6.5X12.5 rivets (areas G, H, I, J and K).
  17. Instal end plate (1), fit and fix in place.
  18. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes (area E).
  19. Remove end plate (1).
  20. Deburr rivet holes on both sides.
  21. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of riveted joints.

  22. Instal end plate (1), fit and fix in place.
  23. Rivet end plate (1) on rear wheel well (7) with Ø 6.5X12.5 rivets (area E).
  24. End plate (1) on rear wheel well (7) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area D).
  25. End plate (1) on longitudinal member connection (2) RP POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas A and AA).
  26. End plate (1) on rear cross member (3) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area B)
  27. End plate (1) from inside SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area A1).
