Adjust Hydraulic Cylinders For Trunk Lid Actuation - AR88.50-P-5100-02V

It is necessary to remove both hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid actuation (1) from the tubular frame (2) and arrest the tubular frame (2) on the guide bolts (4).

Ensure that tubular frame (2) is properly arrested by pulling tubular frame (2) up slightly and pushing down on striker eye (3).

It is necessary to perform this adjustment separately on the left and right hydraulic cylinders for the trunk lid (1).

1. Unscrew counter nut (5).
2. Completely push piston rod into hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid actuation (1) by hand.
3. Turn ball socket (6) until ball socket (6) can installed on tubular frame (2).
4. Install ball socket (6) for checking tubular frame (2) and unclip again.

   It must be possible to attach the ball socket (6) without tension.

5. Turn ball socket (6) one turn clockwise and tighten lock nut (5).

   Ensure that ball socket (6) is screwed into the thread on the piston ring for the trunk lid actuation hydraulic cylinder (1) at least 8 mm. Otherwise, the thread on the piston rod can be damaged.

6. Attach hydraulic cylinders for trunk lid actuation (1) to tubular frame (2).
