| 1 | Open Vario roof fully | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) | ||
| 3 | Open trunk lid | ||
| 4 | Unhook trunk partition | ||
| 5 | Remove luggage compartment paneling | ||
| 6 | Remove spare tire well panel | ||
| 7 | Remove retaining strap (5) and lay down to side | ||
| 8 | Remove soundproofing (6) | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connectors (1, 2) | ||
| 10 | Lift Vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5) and turn until electrical connectors (3) are accessible | ||
| 11 | Disconnect electrical connectors (3) | ||
| 12 | Remove hydraulic lines from Vario roof control hydraulic unit (A7/5) | AR77.37-P-1000-04RK | |
For this purpose the vehicle interior must be covered. Otherwise the vehicle interior can be soiled with hydraulic fluid running out. |

| 27 | Close trunk lid |
